OLED

OLED- Organic Light-Emitting Diodes that describes the kind of panel used to display images, colors, lights, and contrast. Usually, you’ll find OLED screen is used in a host of display designs. But you need to be familiar with the term when you are looking for a new smart TV for your home. Unlike any other screen, an OLED screen brings you much better quality as well as a fast response and less power consumption. The only barrier that comes between is its high prices.

LED

LED also known as Light-Emitting Diodes used for backlight sources rather than earlier code cathode fluorescent. This type of screen is more power-efficient, small, and having a great optical range. The LED screen on TV produces a deeper black and more saturated color. The ‘local dimming’ backlight techniques for LED TVs control the light behind the black areas of the images to make them darker. Though some designs provide selective dimming, they are not as effective as the full array. But the good thing is they have a tendency to be brighter at the edges than at the center.

LCD

LCD refers to Liquid Crystal Display has a backlight that provides light to individuals pixels arranged in a rectangular grid that make it effective. Each pixel has three different red, green, and blue RCB subpixels that can be turned on or off. Basically, these pixels gives millions of color combination that any color TV required. It provides uniform brightness but relatively low contrast images.

Advanced LCD use active-matrix technology that contains thin-film transistors. These transistors include capacitors that enable individual pixels to react actively.
